Lambastadir Guesthouse - Selfoss

Perfect peaceful spot after exploring Iceland! The hot tub felt very nice after a day of hiking, and the breakfast spread was delicious with homemade rhubarb jam. I appreciated having the informative guidebook in the room, which gave great local tips. While the staff were friendly, reaching them sometimes took longer than expected. The shower design led to the bathroom feeling wet after use, and I didn't find any toiletries in the room. Despite these issues, the relaxing atmosphere and cleanliness were good.

Brand new, simple but comfortable and spotlessly clean rooms. Hot pot available. Delicious and plentiful breakfast buffet. Our hosts were welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful, offering advice and tips for our stay. Great location out of town and away from city lights if you're chasing the Northern Lights. Good base for day trips.

Charming aesthetic with local artwork

Very well located guesthouse, very convenient for the Golden Circle and the south coast of Iceland. Brand new with excellent facilities, perfect breakfast and delightful hosts who took time to discuss their country and suggest routes for the days sightseeing. The Hot pot was an additional benefit. All in all an excellent stay.

The staff was efficient, helpful...

I came expecting an elegant stay, but was sadly disappointed. The lack of a kettle made evening teas impossible. Not to mention, the absence of shampoo was shocking! I almost considered leaving a good review based on the hot tub, but the experience felt too much like a chore. Never felt more like a number in a list!

We can absolutly recommend this guesthouse. Very friendly personal, which gives you nice hints for activities. Rooms are very nice and the breakfast was super. Also some food from the farm was provided. As hightlight you can take a bath in the hot-spot. We will come back

The Owner's were fabulous, very friendly and gave us lots of info and advice on where to go and eat whilst on our trip. I would return just because of them. The beds were very comfortable and we really enjoyed using the hot tub at night whilst gazing at the stars! It was easy to find and perfect for us as we had a car for touring Iceland.

perfect base for exploring selfoss and golden circle attractions

The location was fantastic, with fine views and gorgeous animals on site that you can pet, making my stay enjoyable and nice.

Had a great stay for one night on your road trip, everything was wonderful. The staff has always been very very nice and accommodating, and the facilities were comfortable! The location was beautiful, really close to Lambastadir as well as Reykjavik. It also was in a beautiful farm.

We stayed here with our five children and loved the family vibes! The location was perfect for exploring south Iceland, and the spa's hot tub was a hit after our adventurous days. Breakfast was good, especially the waffles!

My wife says that a kettle in the room would be great.

When we arrived at the guesthouse the couple that ran the place had to be away for the evening and had their mother filling in for them. She was so friendly and very accommodating! The room was very clean and the breakfast was very good as well. Would highly recommend this place.

Very helpful hosts.we enjoyed our stay and rooms are very neat and clean.Location is very close to Selfoss town,just off route 1.Breakfast is fabulous
